We have a fantastic opportunity for an Ambulance Care Assistant to serve your local community and join the Ambulance Service as part of our Ambulance crews based in Burgess Hill.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the transportation of patients, including end‑of‑life service users, ensuring empathy and high care standards.
* Build rapport with patients and relatives/friends through effective communication.
* Lift, secure and help patients in and out of the ambulance.
* Assist with handing over patients to appropriate staff at treatment centres, hospitals or to families at home.
* Transport service users to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities.
Qualifications
* Hold a valid UK manual driving licence.
* Ability to work flexible shifts: 05:30am‑00:30am, Monday‑Sunday.
* Effective communicator with experience in emotional circumstances.
* Physically fit for patient handling and moving.
* Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company funded).
