SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (KS4)

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in the student’s day-to-day learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing 1:1 support to a KS4 student with ADHD
• Supporting focus, engagement, and positive behaviour in lessons
• Helping adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-regulation
• Working closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
• Monitoring progress and contributing to support strategies
The Ideal Candidate
This role would suit someone who:
• Has experience working with SEN, particularly ADHD
• Has previous experience in a secondary school setting (preferred)
• Is calm, resilient, and highly empathetic
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with students
• Is reliable, organised, and committed to inclusion
