Job Title: Sous Chef Job Type: Permanent Full-time Our client, a well-established bar and restaurant in the Aviemore area, is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and driven chef to take on a key leadership role within a busy, high-volume operation, supporting the Head Chef in delivering consistently high-quality food. Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen Lead kitchen operations in the Head Chef s absence Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP standards Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste Train, supervise, and motivate junior members of the kitchen team Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up Strong knowledge of fresh food and high-volume service Good understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance Experience in a similar bar and restaurant environment Typical shifts: 11:00 21:15 / 21:30 (1.5 hour break) Staff meals on shift, holiday entitlement, pension Career development: Opportunity to progress within a stable and growing business Passionate about food quality and team development
