We are currently seeking a highly skilled Multi Skilled Technician with a strong electrical bias to support the operations of a major industrial facility in the Winsford area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-established, forward-thinking business that plays a vital role in the UK's infrastructure. You will be working on a large-scale, safety-critical site that demands high levels of technical ability, teamwork, and reliability.
The Role
As part of the engineering team responsible for surface and shaft-based facilities, your role will be to ensure legal compliance, equipment reliability, and continuous plant operation through effective maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and statutory checks
* Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems
* Carry out installations and modifications to plant equipment
* Work cross-functionally (including rigging, welding, and burning tasks)
* Support Continuous Improvement (CIP) initiatives
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
What We're Looking For:
* Recognised apprenticeship or time-served background in multi-skilled engineering
* Strong experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
* Previous work in a heavy industrial, mining, or similar environment
* Competence in:
o Electrical fault finding
o Welding, rigging, and burning
o Basic instrumentation
o IT & communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy, safety-led environment
