The Cheltenham Trust is an independent charity that manages five iconic venues at the heart of Cheltenham including the Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham Town Hall, Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales Stadium.
Leisure at Cheltenham and boasts excellent swim, gym, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including a pool complex, fitness and wellness suite, stadium, sports hall and studios and soft play.
We have exciting developments planned as we continue to grow our Leisure offering and team. The position is a key role in enhancing and supporting the customer experience for the duration of their stay. The objective is to ensure a safe running of our leisure facilities at all times, implementing standards in accordance with sites Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plan.
The Role – Duty Manager
You will oversee and coordinate the daily operations at Leisure at Cheltenham, while supporting the Operations manager. Working as part of our team, you'll deliver a memorable experience for our customers. Duties will include:
· Coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the building, including the opening and closing procedures
· Manage operations rostering ensuring cover plan is in place for all pools
· Assist operations manager with management of site plant rooms to include general maintenance, stock control and ordering.
· Supervise operations & facilities team
· Deal and respond to customer complaints onsite that are passed through from the customer contact team
· Manage site cleaning standards, checklists and compliance records.
· Cover for Operations Manager when required
· Support management of RLSS accreditation, staff compliance and training
Our Requirements – Duty Manager
· Experience gained in a supervisory / managerial role, ideally gained in a customer operations facing environment
· Operations experience, with good knowledge of health, safety and security policies and procedures, including fire and security systems
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
· Practical, hands-on approach
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple demands and deadlines
· NPLQ qualification desirable, full training can be provided
· Pool plant operators qualification desirable (training can be provided)

· This is a full time position working 40 hours per week on a rolling rota, including early morning, evening and weekends.
