What You'll Do:
As the Lead AV Commissioning Engineer, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end commissioning process for complex AV and Unified Communications solutions, ensuring systems are delivered to the highest standards of performance, reliability, and usability.
In this technical leadership role, you will work closely with project managers, design teams, and installation engineers to verify, test, and optimise integrated AV and UC systems across a diverse range of environments including enterprise workplaces, education, and large‑scale public sector deployments.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the commissioning of AV and UC systems, ensuring full alignment with design specifications and client requirements
* Conduct detailed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including system calibration, configuration, and final tuning
* Diagnose and resolve complex issues across AV, control, network, and DSP platforms to ensure reliable system performance
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior commissioning engineers and installation teams
* Deliver end‑user training sessions and complete formal system handovers where required
* Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to address technical challenges and remain current with product developments
* Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and delivering successful project outcomes
* Produce accurate documentation, including commissioning reports, test results, system configurations, and as‑built information

Skills & Experience:
* Extensive hands‑on experience commissioning AV systems from leading vendors such as Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Microsoft, Shure, Poly, Sennheiser, NEC, and Zoom
* Strong understanding of AV signal flow, control systems, DSP configuration, and networked AV technologies
* Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, control logic, and project documentation
* Excellent problem‑solving capability with strong attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while working effectively under pressure
* Solid understanding of IT networking fundamentals and protocols relevant to AV and UC systems
* Experience leading and developing a team of Engineers.
* Flexibility to travel to sites across Europe.

Qualifications:
* Relevant technical qualifications in AV, electronics, IT, or a related discipline
* Industry certifications such as CTS, Crestron, Q‑SYS, Biamp, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco, or other manufacturer accreditations (highly desirable)
* Demonstrable experience in AV commissioning across enterprise or large‑scale environments
