Proactive Personnel are looking for a Facilities Engineer on a straight permanent basis for our client in Halesowen.
Main Responsibly:
To ensure that the office, factory and associated facilities are always maintained to the highest possible standards and that the building infrastructure and fabric are robustly protected and cared for, including the operation of ancillary equipment Liaise with facilities contractors. Supervisory of Apprentices team.
* Responsible for dock levellers, loading bay equipment including roller shutters, high speed, sectionals, gates, barriers and overhead doors.
* Maintain all internal and external parts of the building to include Ensure regular mandatory checks including but not limited to:
* General & Emergency Lighting Maintenance/installation
* Basic plumbing duties – clearing blockages in drains, toilets, and gulleys. Maintain sink and taps etc.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
* Electrical testing & fault finding. Continual assessment of plant, to ensure most effective performance, in both energy and operation
* Manage all Welding, Hydraulic and Pneumatic jobs around the site’s
* General carpentry duties. Conduct weekly fire door inspections and fire alarm testing to ensure safety compliance
* Installation of new plant and equipment. Inspection and repair of Pallet Racking
* Source materials and negotiate prices in line with industry guidelines
* Effect minor repairs to wall, doors, windows, and office furniture. Painting and decorating as required. Erect Signage as requested.
* To undertake internal office furniture/equipment handling removals and relocation, including the conference/training rooms and any necessary audio-visual equipment, configuring to the user’s requirements.
* To actively support the formal Integrated Management System by ensuring all defined policies, processes and procedures and work instructions are accurately applied.
* Respond to all building service requests in a timely manner, prioritising requests accordingly
