Project Manager role at Delkia, location Haydock, Merseyside. Permanent / Full time, rate: Competitive. Delkia is a specialist engineering and technology company for safety-related and mission-critical systems in highly regulated sectors, including aerospace, clean energy and maritime. What you’ll be responsible for
* Lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and accountability, while fostering collaboration across technical, commercial, and operations staff.
* Collaborate with Project Teams to deliver projects to defined cost, schedule and quality requirements, leading to a successful handover.
* Support Tender Submissions from a Project Management perspective.
* Prepare schedules and monitor progress against baselines; track and report project spending and variances using Earned Value Management (EVM).
* Prepare meeting packs/presentations, capture minutes, track actions, and update teams and senior management.
* Influence key stakeholders (internal and external) associated with the project.
* Ensure all project deliverables are completed in line with the schedule.
* Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, opportunities and issues (DAREO); implement corrective actions and escalate where needed.
* Contribute to Lessons Learned across projects and promote continuous improvement.
* Maintain established processes and develop new ones as required.
* Take ownership and promote project management success through the team.
* Manage proposed changes to project parameters (scope, budget, schedules).
* Monitor the quality of deliverables to meet project objectives and establish effective stakeholder relationships.
What you’ll bring
* Proven track record delivering projects under NEC3/4 contracts (minimum 5+ years NEC experience).
* Experience working with specialists and across multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience delivering projects in the Clean Energy / Renewable Energy sector (wind, solar, nuclear, grid, or related).
* Experience across joint Clean Energy & Defence programmes (e.g. nuclear energy for defence estates).
* Background in Defence project delivery (MOD, defence infrastructure, security-cleared environments, or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of project controls, financial governance and risk management in complex environments.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills in regulated and/or sensitive projects.
* Demonstrable leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and supply chains.
* Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline; engineering or technical degree or equivalent experience.
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, data handling and analysis.
