We are looking for
an experienced Band 3 Senior Health-Care Support Worker (SHCSW) to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), situated in the Bristol Heart Institute (BHI) You will be working alongside a large multidisciplinary team caring for patients with life-threatening conditions and severe illnesses. Under the guidance of the registered nurse you will be providing direct care to our patients on CICU. Working in Critical Care can be demanding and challenging and we are fortunate to have access to a comprehensive staff wellbeing support. We encourage you to develop and broaden your knowledge, skills and experience. Within the first 12-18 months you will be fully supported to complete a National Competency Framework for Healthcare Support Workers in Adult Critical Care A Senior Health Care Support Worker (SHCSW) is a core member of the team delivering direct care to patients and supporting registered practitioners to deliver high quality, compassionate health care to people in accordance with assessed needs and a care plan. You will carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare, or therapeutic tasks, under the direct or indirect supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner, in accordance with the Trust values.
