Our client is supporting a major regulated utility who is embarking on a decade-long infrastructure transformation and is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the delivery of a critical procurement and contract management programme.
This is a high-impact contract role offering the chance to shape the future of collaborative contracting in the utilities sector, moving away from traditional models to deliver smarter, more value-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of a procurement and organisational readiness programme focused on major capital projects.
* Develop and implement modern procurement strategies that enable collaboration and long-term value.
* Oversee the creation of new organisational frameworks to support future construction and asset upgrades.
* Manage a core delivery team (12–15 people) and coordinate across a wider stakeholder network.
* Engage and influence senior leaders across engineering, procurement, legal, and operations functions.
* Drive cultural and operational change through pragmatic project delivery and transformation planning.
* Monitor risk, manage issues, and ensure project milestones are delivered to time and quality.
* Produce clear reports, presentations, and board-level communications to keep stakeholders aligned.
What We’re Looking For:
* Solid project management experience in engineering consultancies or asset-intensive sectors (e.g. Arcadis, Mott MacDonald, Atkins, etc.).
* Skilled in leading complex transformation and procurement initiatives.
* Proven ability to align diverse stakeholder groups and drive consensus.
* Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure programmes.
* Strong documentation and reporting skills, with ability to distil technical information into accessible updates.
* Familiarity with project methodologies (e.g. Prince2), with a flexible, delivery-focused mindset.
* Previous experience delivering change programmes involving contracts or organisational design is highly desirable.
This is a unique opportunity to take the lead on a major infrastructure programme during a pivotal moment of industry change. If you’re a confident project leader who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments — we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now to shape the future of infrastructure delivery at one of the UK’s most ambitious transformation programmes.
