Your new role
You will be responsible for managing all temporary works associated with repair and maintenance activities in accordance with current regulations and best practice. You will also act as the designated Responsible Person for both Asbestos and Legionellapliance, ensuring that all inspections, testing, remedial works, and documentation arepleted accurately and on schedule.
Your remit will include maintaining and managing a range of essentialpliance records, including vehicle safety inspections, PAT testing, ladder and tower scaffold inspections, and the technical training matrix. Ensuring training is timely andplete is critical to maintaining ourpliance readiness and operational efficiency. You will conduct site inspections, supportpletion checks, and provide technical advice and feedback to both operational teams and contractors, reinforcing a culture of quality and safety.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, contractors, and wider operational teams, supporting audits, inspections, and investigations as required, while promoting a strong safety-first ethos across the organisation. This is a collaborative role that requires excellent organisational skills, confidentmunication, and the ability to advise, influence, and ensurepliance across all levels of the business.
This position will require regular travel across the South of the UK, including occasional overnight stays depending on operational needs.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this position, you will bring proven experience in a safety orpliance-focused role, ideally within property management, housing, construction, or a similar environment. You will possess a sound understanding of statutory responsibilities around Temporary Works, Asbestos, and Legionella, and be confident managing technical records and coordinating inspections.
While not essential, holding qualifications such as TWC, BOHS P405, Legionella Responsible Person training, or a NEBOSH Certificate would be advantageous. Familiarity with managing safety within social housing or large estate portfolios will also support your success in this role.
