Responsibilities:
As a Buyer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operations. Daily duties will include:
Researching and liaising with potential vendors
Comparing pricing from various sources
Negotiating prices and terms of business
Preparing quotations for customers
Placing and managing purchase orders
Tracking orders to meet customer delivery dates
Coordinating with the warehouse and logistics teams
Managing supplier and customer relationships
General customer service duties
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Previous experience in a purchasing or logistics role
Strong telephone and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
A motivated and detail-focused mindset
Own transport required for travel to the workplace
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience in international trade and MRO purchasing
Technical knowledge related to the industry
Proficiency in foreign languages (German, Italian, or Arabic preferred)Technologies:
Familiarity with procurement software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus.
