Senior Building Surveyor
We are working with a leading residential investment and management company with an impressive multi‑billion‑pound portfolio across the UK. They are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to oversee their CAPEX refurbishment project across their Northwest portfolio.
Remuneration: Hybrid home‑based role with 1 day in the office per week.
The Role
The Senior Building Surveyor will join a project‑oriented role overseeing the Northwest residential lease‑hold portfolio. The role is based in / around Manchester, Sheffield or Liverpool and offers a fully flexible hybrid work set‑up: 1 day in the office (team meetings) and 4 days from home or onsite visits.
The core duties (65%) focus on project management and contract administration of residential block internal and external common‑parts refurbishment projects valued between £20,000 and approx. £3 million, in line with the agreed PPMs. In addition to project work, the Building Surveyor will complete professional work covering pre‑acquisition surveys, reinstatement cost assessment, dilapidations, defect diagnosis, building pathology and inputting into the 5/10‑year PPMs.
Requirements
* MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying
* Experience overseeing residential PPM projects valued between £20,000 and approx. £3 million
* Experience with JCT contracts, defect diagnosis, building pathology and building regulations
* Excellent communication and report‑writing skills, able to work within a team and autonomously
* Additional experience in AutoCAD desirable
