The GDP is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey, combining blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing Jacobs strategy and your passions. The opportunity sits within Jacobs Water service delivery in the UK & Ireland. Our Wastewater Network Modelling teams work with a range of water companies on projects including feasibility studies, planning, design, construction management, operations and maintenance. Our team focuses on drainage infrastructure, feasibility assessments, operational support, flood risk, network optimisation and smart networks. The successful candidate will learn all aspects of wastewater network operation and performance through hydraulic modelling and will be supported to turn novel ideas into practical solutions for the water industry.
Primary Job Responsibilities
* Development of computer hydraulic models to investigate flooding, environmental issues and generation of outline solutions.
* Drainage Area Planning
* Development of InfoAsset management network databases
* Scoping of asset surveys
* Analysis of survey data
* Network Flood Risk Assessment
* Sewer Overflow analysis
* Optioneering & Solutions Development
* Model Build and Verification using InfoWorks ICM
* Development of reports and other project deliverables
* Supervise site surveys and field investigations
* Driving health and safety in all aspects of our projects.
The start date for this position is September 2026.
What You'll Need / Qualifications
* BSc/BEng/MEng degree level, Engineering, Geography, GIS, Science, Environmental or Mathematics
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
