About the Role
We're looking for a Programme Security Specialist – Supply Chain Assurance to join our team based onsite from our in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role benefits from our 4xFlex working pattern, offering a 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday)
Our Programme Security Specialist – Supply Chain Assurance is responsible for providing expert advice and support to programmes of work across the Lockheed Martin Ampthill site and other geographically dispersed Lockheed Martin locations.
You will act as the principal security point of contact for sensitive or classified Defence Programmes and its respective supply chain. You will be required to establish and maintain meaningful relationships with key programme staff and act as the liaison between the programme and the wider Lockheed Martin Security organisation.
You will be expected to understand the operational needs and requirements of the programme team and offer pragmatic security support and advice in order to mitigate security risks whilst also maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. As such, a working knowledge and experience of documents such as Government Standard 007: Security, JSP 440: The Defence Manual of Security and other applicable ISN and Def standards are considered essential for this role.
You should have experience of working within a Facility Security Cleared environment and understand the security requirements associated with protecting sensitive and classified information and assets. You should possess a sound understanding of National Protective Security Authority construction standards, completion of Operational Requirements and demonstrate familiarity with recognised Defence Supply Chain strategy and risk management methodologies.
You will also undertake a broader compliance role, ensuring all company security processes are being undertaken correctly and in a manner that meets defined key performance indicators. You will undertake audits and musters of documents and assets, maintain and update numerous databases and support other members of the Team in ensuring all policies, procedures and working instructions are up to date and remain fit for purpose.
You will undertake a wide variety of tasks in support of each of these disciplines and in support of the wider Lockheed Martin Security Organisation, ensuring that the whole team is able to function effectively and efficiently in support of classified and complex programmes of work.
You will be a confident and effective communicator, able to influence and engage at all levels of the business; you should be able to explain the value that Security adds and you will work with the Security Team to develop and apply business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges.
You will be comfortable working in a small, dedicated and highly professional security team; you will be able to follow instructions and work as part of the team, but will also be required to work independently, using your initiative and with minimal direct supervision. You should be able to prioritise tasks, react dynamically to changing priorities and manage your own time and workload effectively.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
1. Experience of the GS007 - Security Directive (Formerly the UK Security Policy Framework), JSP440, and Supply Chain Security Risk Management process.
2. Knowledge and a working experience of government Supply chain principles and security procedures, including document, personnel and procedural security, as well as demonstrable experience of conducting security audit and inspection activities.
3. Possess previous experience of working within the UK Defence, Policing or Corporate Security environment.
4. Be a confident individual who has experience of working within a small team forming part of a larger security team.
5. Organised and methodical.
6. Able to work independently and effectively prioritise your tasks; be proactive and flexible.
7. Possess excellent IT knowledge, including a high level of proficiency with applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
8. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
9. A capacity to build lasting stakeholder relationships.
