Role Overview

The IAAS and CAAS engineers will ensure successful implementation of Windriver and Redhat Clusters to predefined designs and methods of procedures. Senior WWT Architects and OEMs will create the design, with OEMS building the first 1-2 clusters alongside the WWT architects and engineers. When the design, method of procedure and initial cluster builds have been delivered, the engineers will take over deploying the remaining clusters to standard which will provide the core platform for workload migration. This is a hands on role requiring significant experience in deployment and contributing to design discussions. Automation, including Zero Touch Provisioning is a foundational element of the project.

Responsibilities

* Cocreate methods of procedure to build out clusters following OEM builds. Windriver and Redhat will build the first clusters with WWT and handover for us to deploy at scale. You will need to be able to work with the OEMs and ensure readiness to take over deployment and build at scale.
* Cocreate test plans for customer acceptance aligned to the agreed requirements
* Collaborate, manage and respect the needs of a wide range of stakeholders
* Ensure any infrastructure requirements demanded by the workloads are catered for by the infrastructure.
* Liaise with stakeholders and attend face to face workshops in either WWT or VMO2 offices as necessary.
