As the Transport Administrator, you will ensure that we deliver on our promise of outstanding service. You’ll work with customers, business partners and drivers to ensure we meet our commitments and delight our customers at every step of the experience. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be confident at multitasking and delivering solutions that move multiple projects forward toward completion. As a part of the XPO team, you’ll have a starring role in helping us continue to provide daily freight solutions for our customers.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,500. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks. Working pattern is Monday through Friday. This role will predominantly be 08:00 to 17:00 but flexibility will be required.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Assist customer and drivers via appropriate communication methods.
2. Handle customer complaints in a calm, professional manner.
3. Diagnose, assess, and resolve problems or issues.
4. Assisting the Transport team to manage compliance for the operation.
5. To achieve weekly and monthly KPIs as set by the business and onsite management team, producing reports and escalating any issues through the management team.
6. Maintain delivery service levels, monitoring driver PDA compliance and other reporting requirements and driving continuous improvement.
7. With training support the planning covering annual leave and absence.
8. Drive standards for operational health and safety.
9. Daily driver and vehicle spot checks.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
10. Previous experience within a transport/logistics organisation is desirable
11. Knowledge of using planning Paragon planning software in a transport/logistics environment would be a huge advantage but not a necessity
12. Excellent attention to detail with a sound geographical knowledge of the UK.
13. Excellent IT Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
14. Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
15. Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to changes.
