Engineering Manager – High-Growth Fintech
Location: London (Hybrid, 2–3 days)
Salary: £110–130k + bonus + equity
We’re partnering with one of the UK’s fastest-growing FinTechs, now entering a critical phase of scale.
This is the most senior technology role in the business, reporting directly to the CEO, with full ownership across engineering, platform, and wider technology.
You’ll step into a 50-person, high-growth company with strong momentum, a live product in market, and a clear mission, but with plenty still to build, shape, and improve:
* You’ll own everything tech - engineering, infrastructure, security, and tooling
* You’ll define how the team scales (not just add headcount)
* You’ll drive a shift in performance and culture
* You’ll play a key role in how the business leverages AI and automation
There’s also a clear path to Head of Engineering, with scope to shape the function in your image.
Engineering Manager role:
* Lead a small, mixed onshore/offshore engineering team
* Own engineering strategy and roadmap, working directly with the CEO
* Take full responsibility for platform architecture, infrastructure, and security
* Evaluate and optimise current team structure (including offshore vendors)
* Introduce and scale AI-assisted development, automation, and agentic workflows
* Set a higher bar for delivery, performance, and engineering standards
* Act as a key voice in the business translating technical decisions into commercial impact
* Stay hands-on where needed (architecture, code reviews, critical delivery)
