GHC NHS Foundation Trust, rated 'Good' in our recent CQC report, has a number of opportunities for Mental Health Professionals to join an exciting venture. Crisis Urgent Care aims to improve response times and widen access for people in the community experiencing mental health crises and acute psychological distress, in line with the Crisis Care Concordat. The service also seeks to provide a coordinated approach to crises, working collaboratively with agencies such as SWAST. We are developing a fully inclusive service (age 11 to end of life) that will serve as the single point of access and triage for a comprehensive care pathway.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking highly motivated and committed Band 6 practitioners to join the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team in Cheltenham. You will support the current team, assist with daily operations, and be responsible for the care of service users. The ideal candidate will be an experienced mental health practitioner eager for a new challenge and passionate about making a difference. Excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships with partner agencies, and thrive under pressure are essential. This role offers the opportunity to work with specialists from various professions.
This vital service operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. We are looking for flexible staff willing to work shifts throughout the week, including long 12-hour shifts or shorter 7.5-hour shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Registered Nurse Mental Health (RMN) or Registered Social Worker (HCPC)
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Evidence of formal post-registration learning
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
LENGTH AND/OR NATURE OF EXPERIENCE
* Knowledge of Early Intervention, Primary Care, Recovery, Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment (CRHT), and social inclusion
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
* Experience collaborating with voluntary sector and other agencies
PROFESSIONAL / MANAGERIAL / SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE
* Understanding of the Mental Health Act and legal aspects of mental health care
* Skills in risk assessment and management
* Knowledge of mental health assessment approaches
* Evidence-based intervention skills across different mental illnesses
* Awareness of national mental health policies
* Up-to-date clinical knowledge, including risk assessment, dual diagnosis, and social care needs
* Understanding of child protection issues
* Ability to address social factors affecting mental health, such as housing, substance misuse, domestic violence, and welfare rights
