We’re working with a crypto-native DeFi trading platform, backed by a leading digital assets firm (client name kept confidential), to hire a Senior Backend Developer. The team is building high-performance, decentralized trading infrastructure with a strong focus on execution quality and user experience. This is a hands-on role covering backend engineering, smart contract integration, and trading-adjacent systems, working closely with experienced engineers, product, and UX in a fast-moving, production-focused environment. What you’ll be doing Building and maintaining backend services and public APIs in Rust and Python Working directly with EVM smart contracts at an application level Contributing to the evolution of a performance-critical DeFi trading platform What we’re looking for Strong experience with Rust and Python 3–4 years in crypto / DeFi-native roles Practical experience interacting with Solidity smart contracts (not just high-level) Understanding of DEXs and trading concepts (hands-on or theoretical) Comfortable operating production systems in a cloud environment
