This Poplar school is looking for Learning Support Mentors who can confidently work 1:1 with pupils presenting high-level or complex needs such as communication difficulties, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, medical needs, and global developmental delay. Staff joining the team must be resilient, reliable, and able to work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support staff to ensure the pupil receives consistent structure, regulation support and meaningful engagement throughout the day.

The successful 1:1 Learning Support Mentor will have:
Experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting
Confidence working 1:1 with children who have complex or high-level SEN needs
The ability to use calm, consistent strategies for behaviour, communication and emotional regulation
Strong relationship-building skills with pupils, staff and families
A patient, nurturing and proactive approach, with the flexibility to adapt to individual learner needs
