Planet Pharma are currently partnered with a global pharma and we are actively seeking an experienced R&D Business Data Analyst to join the business fully remotely in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support R&D Decision-Making: Analyze data and generate insights to support strategic and operational decisions across the R&D pipeline, including early discovery, clinical development, and regulatory affairs.
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, interpret, and visualize complex datasets (clinical, preclinical, competitive, and financial) to inform R&D project progress and portfolio prioritization.
* Portfolio & Pipeline Analytics: Track R&D project milestones, timelines, budgets, and performance KPIs; provide scenario analysis and forecasting to support portfolio management.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with stakeholders in R&D, finance, regulatory, medical affairs, and commercial teams to align business needs with data-driven solutions.
* Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis of therapeutic areas, clinical trial designs, and R&D strategies of peer companies.
* Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in R&D workflows and propose tools or process enhancements to improve data quality, operational speed, and decision accuracy.
* Budget & Resource Planning: Support the planning and tracking of R&D budgets, headcount, and resource allocation in collaboration with finance and project management.
* Technology Enablement: Assist in the implementation and optimization of digital tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms that enhance R&D transparency and agility.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within pharmaceutical R&D
* Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and data visualization tools
* Familiarity with clinical trial processes, drug development stages, and regulatory milestones
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience with data querying (e.g., SQL), statistical analysis, or Python/R is a plus
