The Role As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working alongside class teachers, you will help deliver engaging lessons, lead targeted interventions, and provide tailored support to pupils with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions Lead support programmes for pupils with additional needs, including SEND and EAL Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Promote pupils’ social and emotional development, building confidence and resilience Prepare resources and assist in monitoring pupil progress Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and carers Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and events What We’re Looking For Experience working as an HLTA or in a similar role within a primary school HLTA qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children Confident behaviour management skills A genuine commitment to inclusive education and meeting individual pupil needs Why Join Teaching Personnel?
