Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant
A fantastic school we support is seeking to appoint a dedicated, passionate, and empathetic learning support assistant to join their close-knit team. Our school supports learners who have barriers to learning, including SEMH, autism, ADHD, and Asperger's.

About the Role:
1. Support the classroom teacher in managing the class and assisting students with their learning focus and engagement.
2. Potentially work across other sites and outreach centres.
3. Prepare the classroom for lessons.
4. Supervise group activities or work with students on a 1:1 basis, depending on individual needs.
5. Provide a healthy and safe learning environment for children.
6. Build meaningful, long-lasting relationships to help students excel academically, socially, and emotionally.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with children with special educational needs.
2. Strong knowledge of strategies to support young people's studies and wellbeing.
3. Understanding of additional needs including autism, ADHD, and Asperger's.
4. Ability to work well as part of a team.
5. Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle (minimum of 2 years driving experience).
