SALARY: £71,000–£78,800
HOURS: Full time, 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for multiple Enterprise Architects across our bank to shape the strategic direction of our technology landscape, ensuring solutions are aligned with our architectural vision and business strategy. You’ll play a key role in major transformation programmes, supporting the creation of roadmaps, guardrails, and patterns that underpin our technology strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Contribute to architectural decisions and support the Architecture Lead in defining and delivering technology strategy.
2. Help create and maintain architecture roadmaps, guardrails, and patterns, collaborating with colleagues across the business.
3. Prepare architectural artefacts and documentation to support governance and compliance.
4. Build strong relationships with business, engineering, and CTO stakeholders.
5. Maintain up-to-date technical skills and up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
6. Conduct external research to inform business design and enable corporate strategy.
7. Collaborate with a team of architects to ensure alignment with group and technology strategy.
8. Work in an agile way, participating in agile ceremonies and supporting iterative delivery.
WHAT WE’LL NEED
Architecture & Technology
9. Strong Enterprise Architecture experience with good working knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) and exposure to a range of modern technologies including a combination of the below:
Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and hybrid hosting architectures
APIs, microservices, and modular applications
Data strategies (data lifecycle, ETL, data modelling, governance)
Cybersecurity
Technology sustainability
Payments, digital transformation, retail banking
Collaboration & Communication
10. Strong communication and storytelling skills
11. Ability to build trusted relationships across engineering, product, and business teams
Continuous Improvement
12. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with tech trends
13. Willingness to drive process improvements and adopt best practices
