A well-regarded secondary school in Southampton is seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Maths to lead their mathematics department from October half term. This is a full-time leadership role ideal for a strong classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising attainment and leading teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Maths department, driving high standards of teaching and learning
* Develop and implement curriculum plans that inspire and challenge students
* Support and mentor teaching staff within the department
* Monitor student progress and implement strategies for improvement
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths at secondary level
* Previous leadership or middle management experience
* Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
