Could You Save Lives With Your Voice? Join Us as an NHS 111 Health Advisor in Ipswich. Location : Delta Terrace, Ipswich About the Role We’re looking for calm, compassionate and patient-focused individuals to become NHS 111 Health Advisors at IC24 in Ipswich. When someone calls 111, you’ll be the first voice they hear. Using the NHS Pathways system, you’ll assess their needs and provide safe, non-clinical advice. The calls you take can range from simple prescription requests to helping someone in emotional distress.You’ll need to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet and record detailed notes on the system quickly and accurately. We proactively encourage and support our Health Advisors to progress through the ranks as a Non-Clinical Coach, Service Manager or Team Manager where possible.We also offer development opportunities through our national recognised patient service qualification programme, Aspire to Excellence. What You’ll Get Fully paid accredited training Salaries start from £24,929.44 per annum for daytime rotas, pro rata Enhancements paid between 20:00 and 06:00 hours and for all hours on weekends, with further enhancements on bank holidays Access to Blue Light Card and other NHS Discount Schemes Advanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave after 1 year’s service Opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme Additional annual leave based on length of service Free 24/7 independent counselling service A volunteer day Employee Assistance Programme Free membership to our reward and discount platform Working Hours All Health Advisors must be able to work at least 50% of weekends. Full-Time Options You’ll work a mix of early and late shifts, starting from 7am or 8am and finishing as late as 10pm. If preferred, you can choose to work only late shifts or night shifts (typically 10pm to 6am). Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, but you can opt to work more if you’d like. Part-Time Options Part-time roles mainly focus on evening and weekend shifts. Early shifts can start from 6am, while late shifts typically run until 10pm. Weekend-only roles are also available, and extra hours may be offered during busy periods. Please note, part-time overnight shifts are not currently available. Training and Start Dates We’re looking for candidates who can start training in March and April. Please note, the training for this role runs for 5 weeks and is full time (37.5 hours per week). We offer these courses in two timetables, either Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or Evening and Weekends. To find out more about training to become a Health Advisor please clickhere.
