Responsibilities
* Applies preventive quality methods aimed at risk minimization. Designs, maintains and improves specific quality requirements, specifications and concepts based on supplier categorization.
* Qualifies and approves suppliers, in cooperation with purchasing.
* Coordinates product/service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements/specification (Ready to order). Collaborates in the creation of technical specifications.
* Creates and negotiates Quality Assurance agreements, and monitors implementation in supplier processes.
* Plans and executes Supplier Audits including follow-up of audit measures.
* Drives supplier performance and continuous improvement and collaborates in supplier development programs.
* Implements complaints management to detect and analyze non-conformances and communicates with supplier. Supports sustainable problem solving.
* Supports standardized supplier qualification process according to corporate guidelines (Ready for business).
Qualifications
* Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
* 3-5 years’ experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role for a medical device or pharmaceutical company. Typically, 8-10 years of successful experience in related field
* Travel is required for this position: potentially 20 – 30%
* Strong understanding of FDA regulations and ISO 13485.
* Seeking experienced supplier quality auditor with certifications
* Leadership qualities and role model qualities demonstrated
* Ability to work independently and effectively represent Siemens during supplier audits
* Excellent high level oral and written communications skills
* High-level negotiation and influencing skills
* Demonstrates a willingness to collaborate across teams and job functions and ensures clear communication to support manufacturing and suppliers
* Adaptable and willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities

Compensation
The Annual Base Pay For This Position Is: Min $86,700 - Max $130,000
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
