We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer Mechanical / Plumber to cover general plant room maintenance on a secure facility in the Chester area. The engineer will be responsible for repairs and upkeep to the water and mechanical services plus compliance checks. This is a permanent role paying circa 31k basic plus OT, Circa 40 hours per week Mon-Fri 40 hours/week. (13:30 finish on Friday) Duties: Provide a timely and effective service to the customers by routinely carrying out the following tasks on a maintenance basis when required. Provide maintenance on pumps, valves and general plant room fittings etc. Storm, sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems. Compliance on TMV's / tap temps and anti legionella works Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels. Basic AHU and fan coil checks and service Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains. Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports. Deal with plumbing emergencies when required. Plumber Requirements: To have maintenance experience C&G / NVQ Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering qualifications Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills. It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times. Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks Able to pass a security clearance Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
