Your Role
An exciting opportunity to be part of a team that forms an integral part of Capgemini’s Logistics squad, delivering a broad set of solutions to new and existing clients. The role includes core capabilities of Warehouse and Transport management, with new complimentary solutions including automation, robotics and digital/AI technologies. The scope includes WMS, TMS, OMS and in-store technology as part of the wider connected supply chain.
As a Logistics Consultant/Senior Consultant, you’ll help set direction, drive the Logistics team, and develop operational, warehouse and transport capabilities. You will model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your personal growth through activities in the following categories:
* Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events
* Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development
* Learning & Development – Training to support career development and skills demand within the company, certifications, etc.
Your Profile
We'd love to meet someone with:
* Previous experience of warehouse operations in a logistics environment with a clear understanding of warehouse processes and optimization
* Previous experience of multimodal transport operations with a clear understanding of transport processes and optimization
* Experience contributing to (Consultant) and leading (Senior Consultant) project teams, with experience of both waterfall and agile methodologies
* Experience as a management consultant or in business improvement programmes, including working in diverse teams with global or regional impact
* Ideally, experience implementing leading WMS solutions
* Understanding of the integrated nature of Supply Chain solutions that connect WMS with Planning Solutions, OMS, TMS, and in-store processes
* Ideally, experience implementing TMS and/or other Supply Chain solutions, with experience managing relationships with software vendors
* Understanding of strengths and weaknesses of strategic Logistics software solutions
* Experience with testing processes, including testing methods, tools and strategies
* Strong stakeholder management/engagement skills and ability to demonstrate a management approach
* Ability to provide progress updates verbally and in written reports at different levels of a project
* A customer-first mentality
* Experience generating and managing budgets in sales and project delivery environments
* Ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation and to enlist support from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions
