NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this post is: Monday - Thursday 08:00 – 16.00 and 15:30 finish on a Friday. Participation in an on call rota is required. The post holder will play a key role in the provision of a comprehensive maintenance, repair and minor works service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde sites, which will significantly contribute to the provision of excellent patient care. The role is multidisciplinary with the successful candidate providing technical support to the Operational Estates Department multi-skill, core skilled & support staff, contractors and other employed persons in the completion of Estates planned and reactive maintenance works. Ensuring effective use of common resources and flexible working, including: Delivering a planned maintenance, repair & installations service which represents quality and value for money at all times, p roviding a safe maintenance service to all plant and equipment and service infrastructure within the Health Care Environment, p rovide Authorised Person (AP) duties as a highly specialised service management and system control for various disciplines in accordance with statutory documents and Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) guidance, m anagement of Human Resource issues through NHS Scotland PIN Guidelines & NHS Greater Glasgow Human Resource policies, r esponsible for the performance of work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine while ensuring compliance with Statutory and GG&C Health & Safety standards and procedures.
