Overview
Witham Prospect School is looking to appoint Night Residential Support Workers who are enthusiastic, dedicated, caring and highly motivated to support children and young people who have Severe Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Care to achieve their full potential.

Working hours
To work on two-week full time rolling rota on 10-hour shifts, which includes a full day training every six weeks. Night hours are 9.30pm – 7.30am, averaging 36.2 hours per week.
Alternate weekends
Alternate weekends required.
Pay and sponsorship
Pay Rate for Support Workers: £12.97 - £13.31 per hour depending on your qualification.
Note: Witham Prospect School has frozen the Skilled Worker Sponsorship Scheme, and will not be able to sponsor candidates requiring visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
* To support the children and young people to meet their needs in the most appropriate way by following individual care plans and positive behaviour support plans set by our qualified therapist team.
* Promote children and young people’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy and fulfilment of rights.
* Maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that prioritises health, safety and welfare, including domestic duties.
* Work with the staff team across settings to safeguard the children and young people in our care.
* Actively promote learning during all programmes and activities during residential, leisure and educational situations.
* Effectively support the children/young people and staff to manage challenging behaviour using the approved approaches defined within their Positive Behaviour Support plan and Sherwood training.
