Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Southampton, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation while contributing to the development of our menu offerings.
* Assist in the creation and execution of menu items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new and innovative culinary concepts
* Manage food inventory and storage in coordination with the Head Chef
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP regulations
* Contribute to cost control efforts and process optimization in the kitchen
* Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff members
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment
* Assist in menu planning and food presentation for banquets and special events
* Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu improvements and operational efficiency
Qualifications
* Completed culinary education or equivalent professional training
* Strong knowledge of various culinary techniques and food preparation methods
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated creativity in menu design and interest in innovative culinary concepts
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Proficiency in food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP regulations
* Experience in inventory management and cost control (preferred)
* Leadership experience or potential to guide junior kitchen staff
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
* Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
* Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
