Inclusion Assistant - Hednesford Valley High School
Hednesford Valley High School is looking to appoint an Inclusion Assistant to join our highly motivated support staff team. This role involves working under the direction of the Associate Assistant Head to support in the classroom, supporting students 1:1 or in small groups including those with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Location: Hednesford Valley High School, Cannock Chase
Position: Permanent, 37 hours per week during Term Time only.
Actual starting salary £22,569.
Hours of work – Mon‑Thurs: 8:30‑4:30, Friday 08:30‑4:00. Start Date – ASAP.
We require a flexible and creative individual who:
* Has very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.
* Has NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or a recognised equivalent qualification.
* Has excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers and professionals.
* Can use ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.
* Can act as Cover Supervisor during the absence of teaching staff.
* Has a passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students in a special school.
* Is a team player able to work collaboratively with others.
* May be required to work across the school/sites with other student groups if required.
