Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, therapeutic care to young people, supporting their emotional, social, and behavioural needs. Lead and mentor a team of support workers, promoting best practices and a positive care environment. Build trusting relationships with children to help them understand their past, live in the present, and embrace a brighter future. Support young people during daily activities, excursions, and residential settings, ensuring their safety and well-being. Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures in line with Ofsted standards. Act as a role model, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and teamwork in challenging situations. About You Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Proven experience supporting children and young people, ideally in a residential or EBD setting. Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to challenging situations. Willingness to work sleep-ins and flexible shifts. Full UK Driving Licence (preferred). Motivated, resilient, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people. Desirable: Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role. Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and therapeutic care approaches.
