An opportunity has arisen for a mid-level associate to join a highly regarded London-based commercial team, advising on a broad mix of standalone advisory work and transactional support across complex, often cross-border matters.
The Team
Clients range from established multinational organisations to fast-growing, innovation-led businesses, with a notable volume of work supporting corporate transactions and private capital investments.
The Commercial group is a compact, well-integrated team advising on a wide spectrum of matters, including:
* Commercial contracts and supply arrangements.
* Technology, IT and digital infrastructure.
* IP and brand strategy.
* Data protection and cyber risk.
* Outsourcing and complex procurement.
The Role:
You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers across a varied workload, with key areas of involvement including:
* Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (supply, distribution, agency, sponsorship and more).
* Advising on IT and technology arrangements, including software licensing, SaaS and cloud-based solutions.
* Supporting on IP matters, including licensing, protection strategies and commercialisation
* Providing input on outsourcing and procurement projects.
* Advising on data protection compliance, including GDPR-related issues.
* Supporting corporate transactions through due diligence, warranty negotiations and transitional arrangements.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified lawyer with 2-4 years' PQE.
* Experience gained with a recognised commercial, IT/technology or IP practice.
* Strong grounding in commercial contracts, with exposure to transactional support work.
* Strong academic background.
