Job Title: Healthcare Technician

Salary: £28, per annum (pro rata) + Company Van

Location: Hull

Hours: Average 20 hours per week (rota-based and on-call)

Start Date: ASAP

About Baywater Healthcare

Baywater Healthcare works in partnership with the NHS to deliver vital home oxygen and long‑term condition services to patients in the community. Our Healthcare Technicians play a critical role in supporting patient safety, comfort, and independence by ensuring respiratory equipment is delivered, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.

The Role

We are currently recruiting a Healthcare Technician to join our East Yorkshire Field Operations team. This is a hands-on, patient‑facing role where empathy, professionalism, and reliability matter just as much as technical skill.

You will be responsible for delivering, installing, servicing, and collecting oxygen and respiratory equipment in patients’ homes, responding to planned and emergency requests in line with NHS service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver, install, service, and remove oxygen cylinders, concentrators, and other healthcare equipment
2. Respond to emergency 4‑hour and same‑day callouts
3. Travel across Hull and, when required, the wider Yorkshire region
4. Load and unload vehicles safely and maintain excellent driving standards
5. Complete accurate documentation, asset tracking, and required reports
6. Carry out basic technical problem‑solving during installations and servicing
7. Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when supporting patients in their homes
8. Work a rota including weekends and on‑call duties
9. Adhere to all company, NHS, health & safety, and environmental procedures

Working Pattern

10. Week 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 8.30am – 5.00pm
11. Week 2: Saturday, Sunday – 8.30am – 5.00pm
12. 8‑hour shifts, averaging 20 hours per week
13. On‑call: Week 1 Friday, Week 2 Saturday

About You

You don’t need previous healthcare experience — we’re more interested in who you are than what you’ve done before. If you’re excited about working for Baywater Healthcare and have most of the qualities below, we’d love to hear from you.

You will be someone who:

15. Has a flexible, positive and proactive “can‑do” attitude
16. Manages time effectively and works well to KPIs and deadlines
17. Adapts to changing priorities and patient needs
18. Values high quality standards and patient safety
19. Has a strong sense of community and pride in helping others

Essential:

20. Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
21. Willingness to travel and work flexible, rota‑based hours
22. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
23. Calm, confident, and professional manner
24. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
25. Satisfactory enhanced DBS check

What We Offer

26. Comprehensive training programme (typically completed within 4 weeks)
27. The opportunity to work in a rewarding, patient‑focused role
28. Supportive team culture built around Baywater Healthcare values:
29. Customer Focus
30. Always Be Caring
31. Growth
