Primary Tutor – Northumberland
TP Tutors is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Primary Tutors to support pupils across Northumberland and surrounding areas. We work in partnership with local authorities, schools, and alternative provisions to deliver high-quality 1:1 and small-group tuition to pupils who require additional support.
About the Role
You will deliver personalised tuition in line with the Primary National Curriculum, supporting pupils in KS1–KS2. Sessions may take place in schools, libraries, care settings, or within the pupil’s home, depending on the referral.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored 1:1 or small-group tuition to primary-aged pupils
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote progress and build confidence
* Provide clear session feedback and progress updates
* Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
* Maintain safeguarding and professional standards at all times
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or substantial relevant tutoring experience
* Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
* Experience working with pupils who may have additional or SEN needs
* A patient, supportive, and flexible approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
