The role includes opening and closing the business; in the absence of the Shop Manager you will manage shop operations.

Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
The role involves:
* Support the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop and the shop team.
* In the absence of the Shop Manager, lead the operation and management of the Shop and Shop Team, including:
o Opening and closing the shop
o Managing and guiding the Shop Team
o Cash management procedures
o Managing and utilizing the company Time and Attendance system while ensuring adherence
* Lead by example and drive your team to maintain shop presentation standards.
* Be a clear communicator: encourage colleagues to share ideas on how things can be improved.
* Stay focused on the Shop's results to identify opportunities and drive the team to high standards.
* Provide outstanding customer experience and guide the team to deliver excellent customer service.
* Accept bets as per procedure, accurately taking and processing customer bets through multiple channels (betting terminals and in-shop transactions) via the EPOS system in a timely manner.
* Act as a Brand Ambassador, introducing customers to the multi-channel/digital journey.
* Ensure adherence to operational procedures including cash management and security procedures.
* Adhere to Social Responsibility duties.

Desirable Skills And Experience
* 1 year Assistant Manager/Supervisor Retail experience.
* Industry experience is welcomed but not essential as full training provided to expand your knowledge base on all things sport and betting related
