About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team. Meals are provided by Apetito and your main responsibility will be to prepare, and serve them safely and efficiently.
You will ensure mealtimes are well organised, residents receive high-quality service, and the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and compliant with food hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and reheat Apetito meals following instructions and food safety guidelines
* Serve meals and refreshments to residents in a friendly and professional manner
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
* Wash up utensils, crockery, and equipment
* Keep records in line with food hygiene and safety requirements
* Support the team to ensure smooth running of mealtimes
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with people
* Able to follow instructions and food safety procedures
* Reliable with good time management skills
* A team player with a positive attitude
No prior catering experience is necessary — full training on Apetito meal preparation and food hygiene will be provided.
