PHP Developer (Yii Framework) – Contract
Location: Glasgow (1–2 days per week on-site)
Rate: Up to £400 per day

Our client, a leading organisation within the digital and technology space, is looking for an experienced PHP Developer with strong Yii framework expertise to support a key programme of work. This contract offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of business-critical applications in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.
What you’ll do
Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP applications using the Yii framework
Work on existing systems while contributing to new feature development
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Support debugging, optimisation, and performance improvements
You’ll work closely with a small, experienced development team to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
What we’re looking for
Strong commercial experience with PHP
Proven hands-on experience using the Yii framework
Experience working on complex, data-driven web applications
Solid understanding of MySQL and backend development best practices
Comfortable working in a hybrid setup with regular on-site collaboration
The ideal candidate will be proactive, delivery-focused, and confident working independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
