Residential Childcare Worker
Location: Bacup and Barnoldswick
Salary: £32,000 £35,000 per annum (inclusive of sleep-in payments)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you a passionate and resilient individual looking to make a genuine impact in the lives of children and young people? An established and forward-thinking provider of therapeutic residential care is seeking Residential Childcare Workers to join their dedicated team.
This organisation specialises in delivering high-quality, child-centred care to young people aged 818 who have experienced trauma and face emotional and behavioural challenges. Their homes offer a safe, nurturing environment where tailored therapeutic care plans support each childs growth, healing, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities Support the day-to-day care, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people in a residential setting.
Build trusted, meaningful relationships through consistent care and emotional support.
Assist in the delivery of personalised therapeutic plans in line with each childs unique needs.
Promote positive routines, attend appointments, and encourage educational and social development.
Work closely with professionals from health, education, and social care sectors.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic records.
What Theyre Looking For Experience working with children and young people residential care experience is highly desirable.
A good understanding of child development and the effects of trauma.
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
A caring, proactive, and resilient approach.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
