Mechanical Estates Officer (Public Sector) VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Mechanical Estates Officer for 6 months initially with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities To provide effective leadership in the management of areas of the Estates Operations and Maintenance Section as above and implement Estates policy action plans. Responsible for Mechanical trade's workforce and their day to day provision of maintenance. To be accountable for the productivity output of the Mechanical trades and to ensure that standards of workmanship are maintained above agreed limits in a safe manner. To provide effective technical support to designated trade staff in order to ensure the reliability and efficiency of engineering plant and services are maintained. To identify and advise on training requirements within the managed trade. To order materials, services and authorise payment of invoices regarding managed trade. To assist in the co-ordination and development of the Departments quality system. Requirements An equivalent qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in a relevant Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering discipline. And BTEC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. Completion of a registered apprenticeship or structured training program in Mechanical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years, Plus At least 2 years post training, site experience having demonstrated high versatility and flexibility. And Background in Mechanical Engineering, equipment or Building services installation, alteration, maintenance or fault finding Remuneration c£37,338 per annum, plus discount benefits.
