Overview
Lead Finance Business Partner - Core Banking
12-month secondment opportunity for a Lead Finance Business Partner to drive reporting on investment costs for the recently mobilised core project. Reporting to the Head of Cost Management, the postholder will be supported by one direct report to understand delivery plans and progress across initiatives, ensuring robust and transparent reporting and challenging forecast spend versus value.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and communicate forward-looking cost projections up to Exco level and lead the production of cost forecasts to contribute to corporate plans.
* Provide expert financial insight and guidance to executive management on cost and investment matters; produce timely and accurate management information for executive committees.
* Review business cases and conduct financial evaluations of new projects, initiatives, and investments, assessing feasibility, ROI and risks.
* Proactively identify opportunities and risks for the directorate or the Society using industry knowledge.
Qualifications
* An accounting qualification with significant post-qualification experience, or substantial practical industry experience.
* Experience in managing investment portfolios, projects or programmes.
* Experience in a business partnering role within financial services.
* Good commercial acumen and resilience; influencing skills with the ability to support and challenge at all levels.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills; credibility with senior stakeholders and ability to network to obtain information from various sources.
Desirable Experience
* Experience of working on commercial or financial analysis.
