Are you an experienced leader with a passion for community protection, leisure, and culture? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? If so, West Berkshire Council has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Service Director - Community Services.
As the Service Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering high-quality services that enhance the lives of our residents. You will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse portfolio, including community safety, environmental health, licensing, leisure services, arts and culture, and more.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within a local government or public sector environment
* A strong understanding of community protection, leisure, and culture services
* Excellent strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into action
* Proven track record of driving innovation and delivering positive outcomes
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
