* You’ll be responsible for proactively responding to alarms, minimising service outages.
* You’ll promptly perform necessary actions to restore service during degradation or outage conditions.
* You’ll escalate incidents as per procedures and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
* You’ll conduct regular checks on systems and services to ensure reliability.
* You’ll monitor distress traffic in the network and take immediate action if needed.
* You’ll identify opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency.
* You’ll actively contribute to continuous improvement by presenting ideas and creating efficient operational and technical processes.
* You’ll provide support, coaching, and training to other engineers and teams.
* Good understanding of satellite communication networks, systems, and propagation.
* Knowledge of VSAT, Ka-band, L Band, and C bands.
* Familiarity with digital communication networks, protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, routing), and architecture (routers, switches, firewalls).
