Role & Location

Senior Support Worker – Exeter

Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £26,617.50 (£13.65 per hour)
Contract: Permanent
Welcome Bonus: £250 for new starters (T&Cs apply)

United Response is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our supported living services in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including Deaf individuals, both in their homes and in the local community.

The role of Senior Support Worker includes some evening, weekend, and bank holiday shifts, as well as sleep-in duties.


What you’ll be doing

* Supporting the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
* Providing direct, hands-on support to the people we support
* Supervising staff, managing rotas, and overseeing support plans
* Liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies
* Ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained


What we’re looking for

* Confidence in mentoring and supporting team members
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* IT literacy and ability to manage administrative tasks
* A full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and occasional sleep‑ins
* Experience supporting Deaf people, or a willingness to learn sign language, is highly valued
