Why you should join our Team Abdominal Medicine and Surgery (AMS) is the largest and most complex CSU at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT). We provide acute and elective inpatient services, diagnostic services, see large numbers of outpatients and deliver life‑long care. We have 14 inpatient ward areas located in Lincoln Wing and Bexley Wing at St James’s Hospital, endoscopy units across three sites and 7 satellite dialysis units across West Yorkshire. What you will bring to the role
* The jobholder will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect compassionate care for patients in support of the multidisciplinary team.
* The jobholder will undertake a range of delegated clinical patient care duties under the support and supervision of a registered practitioner.
* The jobholder will assist in the overall implementation and evaluation of care as part of the multi professional team.
* The jobholder is expected to plan, implement, deliver and maintain high standards of patient care.
* The jobholder will be skilled in taking appropriate action(s) and acting on own initiative to achieve the planned outcome.
* The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care.
* The jobholder will be expected to practice in accordance within Trust policies, guidelines, standards and statutory requirements and operate within defined competency boundaries.
* The jobholder must comply with the wearing of PPE as appropriate to the clinical situation – this may involve wearing face masks for a considerable length of time.
