Interim Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Birmingham, UK (Hybrid)
Reports to: Group Financial Controller
Type: Full-Time, Contract (6 months)
Job Description
The Joblogic Story
Established in 1998, Joblogic is the UK’s #1 field service management (FSM) software platform. We are a global business with offices in the UK, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Since our management buy-out in 2013, we have grown revenue from ~£500K to ~£25 M and our team from 11 to nearly 500 people.
Recently we secured a strategic growth investment from Vista Equity Partners — a global technology investor specialising in enterprise software. This latest capital injection is over £100 million in new primary capital, and it will fuel our next phase of growth: accelerating our AI-first roadmap, expanding our platform into CAFM (computer-aided facilities management) capabilities and supporting our expansion across Europe and beyond.
With Vista’s backing we’re transforming from a successful UK small-business into a global, scaling, rocket-ship business — and we’d love for you to join us on the journey to £100 M ARR across international markets.
About the Role
We are looking for a Qualified Financial Accountant to support the Group Financial Controller across several high-priority projects. This role will play a central part in managing our first-year Big Four audit, enhancing finance processes and controls, drafting and implementing new accounting policies under amended FRS 102, and supporting our finance system implementation.
Applicants must be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong audit or senior financial reporting experience, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-growing environment. Experience in process improvement, controls design or system change will be particularly valuable.
Key Responsibilities

* Lead day-to-day liaison with the external auditors (Big Four), ensuring timely responses, clear communication, and proactive issue escalation.
* Prepare, review and coordinate audit deliverables, ensuring underlying working papers are robust and support audit requirements.
* Support the finance team in resolving audit queries, improving audit readiness, and embedding learnings for future periods.
Processes and control improvements:
* Assess current finance processes across accounting, banking, payments and reporting; identify gaps and opportunities to support scale.
* Design and document improved process flows and internal controls, aligned to a rapidly growing, multi-entity SaaS environment.
* Lead the implementation and embedding of revised processes and controls across the finance team.
Policies and FRS 102 Adoption:
* Draft accounting papers and policies relating to amended FRS 102 (effective January 2026) for revenue recognition.
* Assess system and process impacts arising from updated policies and define required changes to ensure compliance.
* Work with the Head of Finance Systems to ensure the new finance system supports the revised accounting requirements for revenue and leasing.
* Review and enhance the existing FRS 102 lessor accounting paper and assist in embedding related processes and controls.
Group Structure Rationalisation:
* Support the wind-down of legacy entities, including closure of bank accounts, intercompany clean-up, tax calculations, and coordination with external advisors to complete formal entity closures.
Finance System Implementation:
* Support data migration activities, including data validation and testing, ensuring accuracy and alignment with accounting requirements.
* Provide accounting and controls input into process design for the new finance system.
Skills & Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

* Demonstrated experience strengthening finance processes and internal controls in a scaling environment.
* Advanced Excel skills; strong analytical capability and confidence working with large or complex datasets.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience drafting accounting papers and implementing new policies.
* Effective communicator able to work across functions and geographies, translating technical issues into practical recommendations.
* Experience of ERP systems (NetSuite preferred; Xero or Sage also beneficial).
* SaaS industry experience advantageous but not essential.
