Join a dynamic team as a Legal Cashier and play a vital role in managing financial transactions within a legal setting! We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record financial transactions accurately, including client payments and disbursements
Maintain and reconcile client accounts, ensuring all entries are precise and up to date
Handle accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and payment approvals
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required
Liaise with clients, fee earners, and other departments to resolve discrepancies or queries related to financial transactions
Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies regarding financial management
utilise accounting software for efficient transaction processing and reporting
Conduct credit control and bank reconciliation
Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practises, particularly in a legal context
Proficiency in accounting software
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues
A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
